Machining services are available to IIT faculty, staff and students and outside customers through the MMAE Department Machine Shop. This is a full service research and prototype machine shop located in Engineering 1 bldg., rooms 047 and 135. The shop contains a full compliment of manual and CNC machines, as well as precision measurement and inspection equipment. In 2007, the machine shop was equipped with a Selective Laser Sintering machine. The machine shop is a valuable resource for everyone from the undergraduate level students to the faculty.
