To bring together students and faculty from graduate degree institutions in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin who have a common interest in the discipline of Fluid Mechanics and who wish to share their advancements of its knowledge. Presentation of a talk is not a prerequisite for meeting attendance.Programs:
The technical program will be creatively assembled from the titles submitted to the organizers, through the steering committee members of the individual schools. The program will reflect the wide range of topics covered by the fluid mechanics community in the five-state area and presentation by students and faculty and guests are encouraged. The program will be available at this web site shortly before the meeting.The meeting is informal; no abstracts are required, no invited speakers, no sponsorship from funding agencies may be mentioned, and presenters are not to list the presentation on their vitae. However, there will be basketball and volleyball and soccer. Bring sweats and or clothes for hiking through the woods. Please refer to the section on Directions to Rochester Indiana and Memorandum (Rules and Regulations) for travel instructions and details of lodging. The total registration fee for the retreat is $95 for accommodations in the main lodge and $75 for cabins. The registration fee includes two (2) nights lodging and five (5) meals. The cost is for the entire meeting (or any part thereof). MUFMECH is a RETREAT, NOT a "commuter" meeting. For you and the community to gain from MUFMECH, you should plan to attend the entire meeting.
